There are guide written in various languages and pictograms in stations and major sightseeing spots to allow foreign visitors to move around smoothly and enjoy holiday with a peace of mind.

  • Most information signs are written in Japanese and English. There are increasing number of guideposts in Chinese and Korean as well. Places like the toilets and ticket booths are indicated by pictogram.

  • Use the sign as a marker when making a transfer. it is indicated in Japanese and English , enabling you to see in a glace the direction you should take.

  • Underground malls that do not have landmarks have excellent signs and information maps. Information maps and sings in many languages and pictgrams are set up in ground and underground connection points and at the forks.

When in trouble... Information Center !

There are Tourist Information Centers around major stations, providing travel guidance in various languages and information through pamphlets for foreign visitors. The Information Centers are marked by the icon_question01.jpg sign. Feel free to visit in times of trouble (Some places are unmanned and only provide leaflets.)
